FastForm CX is an iron-based corrosion-resistant tool steel powder containing nickel for additive manufacturing via Selective Laser Melting (SLM / L-PBF). The powder features a particle size distribution of 15-53 µm. This material is often referred to as "stainless tool steel" as it bridges the gap between high-strength H13 and corrosion-resistant 316L. The printing process requires a protective Nitrogen gas environment and a Stainless Steel Baseplate. The material is widely used in industrial 3D printing for components requiring a combination of high strength and corrosion resistance. Supplied in 5 kg packaging.
