IMT CX is a high-tech stainless steel powder designed for 3D printing using SLM and LPBF technologies. It is used in the production of precision molds, tools, components for the food industry and medical equipment. Technological properties of CX powder
The metal powder of tool steel from IMT is fully optimized for layer-by-layer laser melting using SLM and LPBF technologies. Precise control of the content of alloying elements allows obtaining a stable structure and high hardness after the completion of the printing cycle and heat treatment. Low carbon content ≤ 0.05% ensures excellent weldability of the material during laser melting.
Considering the specifics and technological features of the IMT CX alloy, a steel platform is used for working with it, and nitrogen is a fully permissible environment for printing. The material combines the properties of a special nickel-based alloy and high-chromium steel, which during the dispersion strengthening (aging) process involving aluminum forms intermetallic phases, providing peak rigidity of the tool for industrial equipment.
