FastForm 17-4PH is a precipitation-hardening stainless steel alloy powder designed for additive manufacturing using SLM / L-PBF. The powder features a particle size distribution of 15-53 μm. The 17-4PH alloy provides an excellent combination of corrosion resistance and the ability to significantly increase hardness through post-process heat treatment (age hardening). The printing process requires a protective Nitrogen gas environment and a Stainless Steel Baseplate to ensure part quality. This material is ideal for manufacturing high-strength functional components in aerospace, medical, and defense industries. Supplied in 5 kg packaging.
