The assembly ensures the movement of the recoater, which distributes the powder material over the working area before forming the next layer.

Purpose of the motor assembly

During printing, the recoater passes over the working area and forms a uniform layer of powder. The motor provides the necessary movement of this mechanism and is part of the system for preparing a new layer of material before its laser sintering. A similar motor assembly in the Fuse 1 Generation is also used in the flipper mechanisms of the powder feed system.

When replacement is needed

Replacement is performed in case of drive failure, disruption of recoater movement, or problems with uniform powder application.
