3D Printer CreatBot D400 HS | Premium Package

CreatBot D400 HS 3D Printer | Premium Set combines a large-format FDM printer and two types of filament for practical learning of digital manufacturing in a STEM lab. Initially, students can practice modeling and print settings on standard PLA, and then compare the results obtained with parts made of reinforced PLA-CF. This approach helps to master not only the creation of models, but also the choice of material according to the shape, purpose, and expected load on the product.

What's included in the set:

  • CreatBot D400 HS 3D printer — 1 pc.
  • PLA-CF plastic CreatBot — 1 pc.
  • PLA plastic CreatBot — 3 pcs.*

*You can choose the colors of the three PLA spools from the available assortment.

All listed components are included in the premium configuration of CreatBot D400 HS. You can review the full technical specifications of the printer and ordering conditions at the link.

Brief description of the set components

Large-format FDM printer for complex projects

CreatBot D400 HS has a working area of 420 × 400 × 420 mm when printing with one extruder, so students can produce large models, cases, and assembly parts without dividing the model into a significant number of parts. The system with two extruders supports working with two colors or materials and automatically raises the inactive nozzle so that it does not touch the printed surface. This expands the possibilities for creating models with complex geometry and auxiliary supports.

The print speed of up to 300 mm/s reduces the time to produce large educational models, and contactless platform calibration forms a map of the working surface in about 60 seconds. The teacher spends less time preparing the printer and can quickly move on to the practical part of the lesson. The HD camera allows you to monitor long-term printing, and Wi-Fi and LAN simplify file transfer and printer control.

The closed design with active chamber heating up to 70 °C maintains a stable temperature when working with materials prone to deformation. The two-stage filtration system with a HEPA filter and activated carbon helps reduce the amount of fine particles and odors in the room. These capabilities allow you to further expand the curriculum and work not only with PLA, but also with other engineering filaments.

PLA-CF for studying composite materials

PLA-CF is a modified PLA with the addition of carbon fiber. Compared to standard PLA, the material has higher rigidity and is suitable for parts that need to maintain their shape during assembly and practical tests. In educational projects, it can be used to print brackets, frames, mounting elements, simple devices, and functional prototype parts.

The PLA-CF spool included in the set allows you to compare the properties of ordinary and reinforced polymer in practice. Students can print identical samples from PLA and PLA-CF, and then compare their rigidity, resistance to deformation, and behavior under load. Such an experiment combines 3D printing with materials science, physics, and engineering analysis.

PLA for educational models and trial versions

The set includes three spools of CreatBot PLA. This material is easy to print, has a low tendency to deform, and allows you to get models with an even surface. PLA is convenient to use for the first versions of products, geometric models, architectural layouts, cases, demonstration parts, and size checking before printing the final prototype.

Three spools provide a stock of material for a series of practical classes and team STEM projects. Students can reprint models after correcting errors, compare different design options, and use colors to denote individual elements, functional areas, or assembly stages.

Ideas for lessons and STEM projects

  • Materials science: printing identical samples from PLA and PLA-CF, comparing their rigidity, weight, and behavior under load.
  • Architecture and geography: creating scale models of buildings, terrain relief, urban infrastructure, and educational stands.
  • Robotics: manufacturing of cases, frames, sensor mounts, and parts of mobile platforms.
  • Physics: printing beams, levers, and joints to study strength, deformation, and load distribution.
  • Engineering design: creating several versions of a part, checking fits, assembling a structure, and choosing a material for the final product.
  • Technology: print settings, working with two extruders, controlling the first layer, and evaluating the quality of a large-format model.
  • Digital FabLab workshop: performing a team project from CAD modeling and task distribution to printing, assembling, and testing a prototype.

Ready STEM solution for your institution

CreatBot D400 HS | Premium Set is suitable for equipping STEM classrooms, where they plan to print large educational models and work with standard and reinforced materials. The printer can be used in a modern technology classroom, STEM lab, or digital FabLab workshop to prepare students for engineering professions and study manufacturing technologies.

If your educational institution needs a set of a different configuration, review the STEM solutions for educational institutions or contact our managers. They will help to form a set according to educational programs, the level of student preparation, planned STEM projects, and the institution's budget.
