Formlabs Fuse Sift Mixer Assembly

Formlabs Fuse Sift Mixer Assembly is a service node of the Fuse Sift station, designed for mixing powder material before its reuse. During operation, the mixer rotates the cartridge with a mixture of fresh and restored powder, helping to evenly distribute the material.

Purpose of the mixer

After dosing, the powder goes into the cartridge, which is installed in the Fuse Sift mixer. The rotation of the cartridge ensures the mixing of components and the preparation of a homogeneous powder mixture for the next SLS printing cycle. For quality mixing, Formlabs recommends running the process for at least 10 minutes.

When replacement is needed

The mixer is replaced in case of drive failure or disruption of its normal movement. Indications for service may include unusual noise, jerks, stops, or problems with cartridge rotation. There is no fixed interval for scheduled replacement for this node.
