ULTEM 9085 filament Intamsys 1.75 mm 0.5 kg Natural
ULTEM 9085 filament Intamsys 1.75 mm 0.5 kg is a high-performance amorphous polymer that combines high thermal and chemical resistance with dimensional stability under load. The material is FAA-approved for FST (flame, smoke, and toxicity) requirements and complies with FAR 25.853 and OSU 65/65 standards.
Material Advantages
- High mechanical strength. Allows the production of parts engineered for substantial operational loads under proper working conditions.
- High temperature resistance. The material retains its shape and functional properties at elevated temperatures, making it suitable for demanding engineering applications.
- Chemical resistance. Suitable for manufacturing components that come into contact with specific chemicals and aggressive environments.
- High precision and dimensional stability. Helps obtain parts with accurate dimensions, provided the 3D printing parameters are properly configured.
Applications
- Aviation and aerospace industry. Production of interior elements, structural components, and functional parts in compliance with relevant fire safety requirements.
- Automotive industry. Printing test models, mounting assemblies, protective enclosures, and technical components.
- Railway sector. Manufacturing lightweight parts where mechanical strength and fire safety compliance are critical.
- Industrial manufacturing. Production of functional components, tooling, spare parts, and mounting elements.
- Engineering development. Prototyping and testing prior to launching parts into serial production.
3D Printing Features and Equipment Compatibility
3D printer requirements. Printing requires a high-temperature FDM/FFF 3D printer equipped with an appropriate extruder, heated build platform, and, depending on material requirements and machine configuration, a heated chamber.
Compatible models. The filament is designed for use on INTAMSYS industrial 3D printers, notably the relevant models of the FUNMAT PRO series that support ULTEM 9085 printing. Please verify material compatibility with your specific equipment model before use.
Moisture control. Polyetherimide (PEI) requires proper preparation prior to printing. To ensure consistent part quality, it is essential to follow the manufacturer's recommendations for drying and storing the filament.
Print settings configuration. Nozzle, build platform, and chamber temperatures, as well as print speed, must be selected in accordance with the material's technical data sheet (TDS) and the capabilities of the specific 3D printer.
