SP5000 filament Intamsys 1.75 mm 0.5 kg Natural
SP5000 Intamsys filament 1.75 mm 0.5 kg is a high-temperature support filament for the 3D printing of parts from heat-resistant polymers, including PEEK, PEEK-CF, PEEK-GF, PEKK, ULTEM 9085, ULTEM 1010, and PPSU. The material helps support complex model features during printing and maintains its rigidity at elevated temperatures. After treatment with ethyl acetate, the filament softens, making it easier to remove the support structures.
Material Advantages
- High temperature resistance. Suitable for use under the conditions required for printing PEEK, PEKK, and ULTEM, with a nozzle temperature up to 320 °C.
- Simplified post-processing. Support structures soften when exposed to ethyl acetate, facilitating their separation from the finished part and reducing the risk of damaging the item.
- Reliable model support. Helps support overhangs, thin walls, and other intricate design elements when printing with high-temperature polymers.
- Geometric stability. The material's rigidity during printing helps minimise support structure sagging and model deformation.
Applications
- Aerospace and automotive industries. Manufacturing complex components, ducts, brackets, and other parts from PEEK, ULTEM, and other high-temperature polymers.
- Medicine and orthopaedics. Printing components and products from appropriate biocompatible thermoplastics, subject to compliance with material and end-use application requirements.
- Engineering prototyping. Creating models with internal channels, deep cavities, overhangs, and thin-walled sections that require additional support during printing.
- Industrial manufacturing. Producing functional parts with complex geometries where the heat resistance and chemical resistance of the primary material are critical.
Compatibility with 3D Printers and Materials
Compatible polymers. INTAMSYS SP5000 is designed to build support structures when printing with PEEK, PEEK-CF, PEEK-GF, PEKK, ULTEM 9085 (PEI 9085), ULTEM 1010 (PEI 1010), and PPSU.
Hardware requirements. Dual-extrusion industrial FDM/FFF 3D printers with a high-temperature build chamber are recommended for working with this filament, including the INTAMSYS FUNMAT PRO 410, FUNMAT PRO 610 HT, and FUNMAT PRO 310. Check material compatibility with your specific hardware configuration before use.
Post-print processing. Ethyl acetate is used to facilitate support removal, softening the material upon exposure. Treatment should be carried out in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and safety guidelines.
