Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 Combo — is an FDM printer with the CANVAS system, designed for multicolor printing of models, prototypes, and functional parts, with a build volume of 256 × 256 × 256 mm, CoreXY kinematics, and speeds up to 500 mm/s. The enclosed chamber, nozzle heated up to 350 °C, automatic calibration, and support for engineering and fiber-filled materials make it possible to work with both basic and more advanced filaments.

Multicolor Printing with the CANVAS System
The Combo version supports four-color printing using the CANVAS system. Independent motor control and a shortened filament path provide fast switching between materials during printing. The system also supports automatic recognition of Elegoo filaments with RFID tags and automatic application of recommended printing parameters according to the type and color of the recognized filament.
CANVAS can automatically continue printing from the next identical spool after the previous one runs out. The system also detects filament tangling and pauses printing, while the spool holder design rewinds unused filament, reducing the risk of tangling.
CoreXY with Speeds up to 500 mm/s
CoreXY kinematics uses two 4260 stepper motors to control movement along the X and Y axes. Low-friction metal linear guides and cast aluminum structural elements increase mechanical stability during fast movements. The maximum printing speed is 500 mm/s, the recommended speed is 250 mm/s, and the maximum acceleration reaches 20,000 mm/s².
Active vibration compensation corrects resonances during printhead movement, while Pressure Advance calibration synchronizes material feeding with the printhead movement speed. This helps reduce surface and edge artifacts typical of high-speed printing.
Automatic Calibration and Print Process Monitoring
Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 Combo supports automatic calibration and automatic platform leveling. The Auto Z Offset function automatically calibrates the nozzle height relative to the build surface, helping ensure stable first-layer adhesion.
The monitoring system uses 31 sensors to control various printer components and processes. Available functions include clog detection, filament presence monitoring, cutter mechanism status monitoring, ventilation grille and fan monitoring, platform overheating protection, and recovery after power loss.
Enclosed Chamber and Printing with Engineering Materials
The printer is equipped with an enclosed chamber with a thermal cover and an automatically controlled ventilation grille. The design helps maintain appropriate conditions when working with different filament types. The heated platform reaches a temperature of 110 °C, while the cooling system with high-speed fans maintains a controlled temperature regime during printing.
The 0.4 mm hardened steel nozzle heats up to 350 °C and allows the printer to work not only with standard plastics but also with PC, PA, PET, and fiber-filled filaments.
Double-Sided Flexible Platform
Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 Combo is equipped with a double-sided spring steel sheet. One side has a textured PEI surface, while the other is designed for printing PLA. The double-sided design makes it possible to select the build surface according to the material being used.
Software and Connectivity
For model preparation, ElegooSlicer can be used, as well as the supported Orca and Cura programs. The printer works with STL, OBJ, 3MF, and STEP files, while G-code is used for printing.
For file transfer, USB and Wi-Fi are provided. The built-in camera allows the printing process to be monitored.

To work with TPU in the Combo version, a printed adapter for flexible filaments must be installed and CANVAS must be disconnected before starting. The adapter model and installation instructions are included on the supplied USB drive.
The CANVAS system supports fiber-filled materials; however, due to their abrasiveness, the feed path components require regular inspection during long-term operation.
CANVAS holders are designed for spools with an inner diameter of 53–58 mm. An adapter is required for spools with a larger inner diameter.
