Cartridge Formlabs Silicone 40A Resin, 1L
Formlabs Silicone 40A Resin is the first fully silicone resin for photopolymer 3D printing. With this new patented technology, molding and casting processes are no longer necessary. The Formlabs Form 3+ ecosystem allows you to 3D print 100% silicone parts in your own workspace in just hours.
With a Shore hardness of 40A, this material produces soft, flexible, and strong parts that feature 250% elongation at break and 12 kN/m tensile strength. These parts can withstand repeated cycles of tension, bending, and compression. Offering the high performance of silicone with the design freedom of 3D printing, this resin is ideal for creating silicone parts with excellent chemical and thermal resistance (-25°C to 125°C), thin walls down to 0.3 mm, and intricate geometries not achievable with traditional methods. Formlabs makes rapid prototyping and short-run production of silicone parts cost-effective and accessible.
Advantages of 3D Printing with Silicone
Silicone 40A Resin is pure silicone without any added monomer or acrylate, developed with Formlabs' patented Pure Silicone Technology™. It combines the exceptional properties of molded silicone with the versatility of 3D printing.
- Exceptional elastomeric properties
This material allows you to print highly functional silicone parts that are soft, flexible, strong, and offer excellent chemical resistance and thermal stability.
- Cost-effective rapid prototyping and low-volume production
Eliminate expensive tooling and time-consuming molding processes, enabling custom and low-volume silicone part production.
- New design possibilities
Design custom silicone parts with isotropic properties, thin features as small as 0.3 mm, and complex geometries that molding or casting cannot achieve.
- Fast and efficient manufacturing
Leverage the Formlabs SLA ecosystem to produce clean silicone parts in your own facility in just hours.
