Formlabs Fuse Blast Gas Spring Kit is a service kit for maintaining the door mechanism of the post-processing station. The gas spring helps control the movement of the doors, keeps them in the open position, and makes opening and closing smoother.

Purpose of the gas spring

In the Fuse Blast design, gas springs are installed on both sides of the doors and participate in their support during operation with the equipment. A functioning mechanism allows the doors to be kept raised without additional fixation and reduces the risk of their uncontrolled closing.

When replacement is needed

The gas spring is replaced in case of wear, damage, or if the doors stop being stably held in the open position. A sign of malfunction can also be complicated or uneven opening and closing of the doors.
