Elastan D70 filament MonoFilament 0.75 kg 1.75 mm White
Elastan D70 is a durable, elastic filament with high hardness designed for the 3D printing of wear-resistant parts operating under load and in harsh environments. The MonoFilament range also features medium-hardness D100 and soft D160 materials. Combining strength, elasticity, and resistance to impact and abrasion, D70 is ideal for manufacturing industrial components where conventional plastics may quickly wear out or fail.
Material Benefits
- Long service life. Elastan D70 withstands repeated mechanical stress without significant loss of properties. Printed parts do not develop white stress marks at bend points and maintain layer integrity.
- Chemical resistance. The material is suitable for producing parts that come into contact with petrol, lubricants, greases, as well as dilute acid and alkaline solutions.
- Operates across a wide temperature range. The plastic retains its performance characteristics between −40 and +120 °C, making it suitable for use in both refrigeration equipment and hot engine compartments.
- High impact resistance. The material withstands dynamic loads, helps reduce the impact of vibration, and cushions mechanical shocks to equipment.
- Weather resistance. Elastan D70 does not degrade under ultraviolet radiation or atmospheric precipitation, allowing printed parts to be used outdoors.
Areas of Application
Elastan D70 is the hardest material in the Elastan range. It is ideal for producing parts that must retain their shape and withstand heavy mechanical loads:
- Industrial equipment. Manufacturing pulleys, large gears, rollers, and conveyor guide components.
- Protective components. Printing high-impact covers, bumpers, and robust electronic enclosures.
- Vehicles and mechanisms. Manufacturing oil seals, bushings, and sealing gaskets for operation in lubricated environments.
- Footwear manufacturing. Producing hard-wearing soles and specialised footwear components.
3D Printing Features and Equipment Compatibility
To achieve consistent results, using 3D printers with an enclosed chamber is recommended. This ensures slower cooling of the material and helps prevent warping in large parts.

Expert Recommendations
- Monitor moisture levels. Elastan D70, like other polyurethane elastomers, can absorb moisture from the environment. Spools should therefore be stored in vacuum containers or sealed bags with desiccant. The appearance of bubbles during printing or filament brittleness may indicate the need for drying.
- Maintain stable printing conditions. We recommend using an enclosed 3D printer chamber to ensure uniform cooling of parts. This is particularly crucial when printing large components, as it helps prevent bed detachment and edge warping.
