Four Materials in One Printing Process

The Creator 5 Pro design is built around four separate printheads. Each of them works with its own filament, allowing the printer to sequentially use different materials or colors without the need to pass them through a shared nozzle.

When changing the active printhead, the FlashSwap system switches to another extruder without traditional purging. As a result, nozzle purging is not required when switching between materials, which reduces filament consumption.

This configuration makes it possible to combine several colors, primary and support materials, or plastics with different properties in a single part.

Temperature Conditions for Engineering Plastics

In the Creator 5 Pro version, the build area is fully enclosed, and the temperature inside the chamber can be maintained at up to 65 °C.

The heated chamber is used when working with materials for which uniform cooling is important, including ABS, ASA, PC, and PA. Stable temperature conditions reduce sharp temperature differences between layers during part formation.

For materials that require more active cooling, a different air circulation mode is provided. The system can supply external air into the enclosure, making it possible to work with PLA, TPU, PETG, and PLA-CF without leaving the printer door open.

Automatic Setup System

Before printing begins, Creator 5 Pro performs automatic leveling of the build platform. The relative position of all four printheads is calibrated separately, which is necessary for precise alignment of different materials within a single model.

The printer also supports Auto PA dynamic flow calibration, which automates material feed adjustment.

Automation of these operations reduces the number of manual settings required before starting multi-material printing.

Extrusion System up to 320 °C

The maximum nozzle temperature of Creator 5 Pro is 320 °C, while the maximum volumetric material flow rate is 32 mm³/s.

The standard configuration uses a 0.4 mm nozzle. Other available diameters include:

• 0.25 mm;
• 0.4 mm;
• 0.6 mm;
• 0.8 mm.

A smaller diameter can be used for models with fine details, while a larger one can be selected when productivity and faster production of large parts are the priority.

Platform with PEI Surface

Printing is performed on a flexible textured steel platform with a PEI coating. The maximum build plate heating temperature is 120 °C.

After printing is complete, the flexible plate can be removed and bent to separate the finished model from the surface.

The supported layer height is 0.1–0.4 mm, allowing a balance to be selected between detail and production speed.

Printing Speed and Performance

Creator 5 Pro reaches printing speeds of up to 300 mm/s, while non-extrusion travel movements can be performed at speeds of up to 600 mm/s.

The maximum acceleration is 30,000 mm/s².

Air Purification in the Enclosed Housing

A combined filtration system is installed inside Creator 5 Pro.

It includes:

• H13 HEPA filter;
• activated carbon filter.

The system works with air circulating inside the enclosed chamber and is designed to capture fine particles and volatile organic compounds that may be generated during printing with certain types of plastics.

The printer also monitors the status of the front door and top cover, while the build chamber temperature is monitored during operation.

Monitoring and Remote Control

For print process monitoring, Creator 5 Pro is equipped with a camera with a resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels and a frame rate of 30 fps.

The printer supports management of multiple devices, which is convenient when using several machines in a laboratory, workshop, or production area.

For file transfer and connectivity, the following are provided:

• USB;
• Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz;
• Wi-Fi 5 GHz.

The printer itself is equipped with a 4-inch color touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 × 480 pixels.

Material Monitoring and Print Continuation

Creator 5 Pro is equipped with a filament runout sensor. If the material on the spool runs out, the system can detect this situation before the model is ruined due to the absence of plastic feed.

A recovery function after a power interruption is also implemented, allowing an unfinished job to continue after power is restored.

Internal lighting makes it easier to visually monitor the build area through the door or camera.

Materials for Flashforge Creator 5 Pro

The printer is compatible with both standard plastics and engineering and reinforced materials.

Supported materials include:

PLA, PETG, TPU-90A, TPU-95A, TPU-64D, PLA-CF, PETG-CF, SILK, PVA, BVOH, S-Multi, S-PAHT, ABS, ASA, PA-CF, PET-CF, PAHT-CF, ASA-CF, ASA-GF, ABS-GF, PPA-CF, PPS-CF, and HIPS.

For TPU-90A, external top spool installation is provided.

The following materials are separately supported for use in enclosed chamber mode:

ABS, ASA, HIPS, ABS-GF, PA-CF, ASA-CF, ASA-GF, S-Multi, S-PAHT, PET-CF, PAHT-CF, PPA-CF, and PPS-CF.
