Formlabs Alpha Fast Resin Cartridge for Form Studio 1, 1 L — is a photopolymer resin from the Alpha Resins series, specially developed for the Form Studio 1 3D printer. The material is designed for the production of models and prototypes in cases where it is important to minimize the duration of printing.

Productivity and Print Speed

The main advantage of Alpha Fast Resin is its support for high-speed printing on Form Studio 1. The maximum print speed declared by the manufacturer using this material reaches 130 mm/hour.

In the PreForm program for Alpha Fast Resin, two print profiles are available with the following layer thickness values:

• 150 μm;
• 250 μm.

These settings are designed for tasks where productivity comes first and it is necessary to reduce the time of manufacturing finished models or prototypes.

Compatibility with Form Studio 1

Alpha Fast Resin is designed to work with the standard Form Studio 1 Resin Tank, optimized for the entire Alpha Resins series. There is no need to use the Resin Tank Pro for printing with this material.

During printing, the Form Studio 1 printer automatically controls the consumption of photopolymer resin. The amount of material used is determined by the printed layers, and the corresponding information is stored in the cartridge.

Alpha Fast Resin is part of the Alpha Resins line, specially developed for Form Studio 1. The material is not compatible with Form 4/4B and Form 4L/4BL printers.

Cleaning and Post-Processing

For washing products printed with Alpha Fast Resin, you can use the Formlabs Resin Washing Solution.

The basic post-processing cycle of Alpha Resins materials in the Form Studio Wash+Cure system includes two stages:

• 5 minutes of washing;
• 5 minutes of polymerization.

After the print is completed, Form Studio 1 displays the recommended duration of washing and polymerization for a specific task.

Safety when working with resin

Alpha Resins materials use components with a low odor level. When working with Alpha Fast Resin in a liquid state, it is necessary to use protective gloves and follow the recommendations provided in the material safety data sheet.

The combination of Form Studio 1 + Alpha Resins + VOC Extractor has UL GREENGUARD Gold certification for low levels of chemical emissions. The certification applies specifically to the mentioned combination of printer, material, and filtration system.
