Formlabs Fuse 1 Generation IR Sensor Kit Infrared Sensor Node is an original kit for thermal control in the working chamber of Fuse 1 series 3D printers. It provides accurate measurement of the temperature of the powder layer and stable operation of the SLS printing process.

Purpose and tasks

Remote measurement. Non-contact recording of temperature indicators of the top layer of polymer powder directly during model construction.

Automatic adjustment. Transmits data to the control unit for tracking and adjusting the heat balance, preventing deformation, warping or undercooking of the material.

Accuracy of sintering. Ensures the preservation of the set geometric parameters and uniform density of the formed layers throughout the volume of the chamber.

Reasons and signs for replacement

• System errors. Displaying notifications about incorrect thermal control or failures during sensor calibration.
• Optics damage. Irreversible contamination or mechanical damage to the optical lens, which is not eliminated by regular cleaning.
