PC filament MonoFilament 1.75 mm 0.75 kg Black
PC MonoFilament is an engineering-grade filament based on polycarbonate, designed for FDM 3D printing of strong and rigid products. The material is characterized by high impact resistance, retains its mechanical properties at elevated and low temperatures, and withstands contact with gasoline, alcohols, oils, and aqueous solutions of certain acids. It is suitable for manufacturing technical components, housings, and functional prototypes.
Advantages and Key Features
- High strength and rigidity: the material is suitable for parts subjected to mechanical loads.
- Impact resistance: withstands strong mechanical impacts, including at elevated and low temperatures.
- Heat resistance: finished products are designed for operation within a temperature range of −10 to +120 °C.
- Chemical resistance: withstands contact with gasoline, alcohols, oils, and aqueous solutions of mineral and organic acids.
- Good optical properties: polycarbonate has the optical properties characteristic of this material.
- Mechanical durability: the combination of strength and impact toughness makes it possible to use the material for structural products.
Applications
- Technical and industrial components: equipment housings, fasteners, protective elements, and structural parts.
- Electronics and computer equipment: housing components, device elements, and other functional parts.
- Optical products: manufacturing components for which the optical properties of polycarbonate are important.
- Protective equipment: prototypes and components of protective structures that require increased impact resistance.
- Engineering prototyping: creating strong test models and parts for evaluating designs.
- Functional mechanisms: manufacturing parts that operate under mechanical loads and require dimensional stability.
Compatibility with 3D Printers and Materials
PC MonoFilament is designed for FDM 3D printers that support 1.75 mm diameter filament and are capable of working with high-temperature materials. Printing requires a heat-resistant hotend and a heated build plate capable of reaching the recommended temperature. The manufacturer recommends using an enclosed chamber: it ensures slower cooling of the model and helps reduce shrinkage and deformation.
Recommended printing settings:
- Extruder temperature: 240–260 °C
- Build plate temperature: 110–120 °C
- Printing speed: 30–80 mm/s
- Part cooling: not required
- Printer type: enclosed
Polycarbonate is highly hygroscopic, so the spool should be stored in a vacuum container or airtight packaging to protect it from moisture. Before printing, the material should be dried if necessary, in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.
