FLEX 90 Filament Plexiwire 1.75 mm 0.9 kg Black
FLEX 90 filament Plexiwire 1.75 mm 0.9 kg Black is a flexible thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) filament designed for 3D printing products that require elasticity, impact resistance, and the ability to return to their original shape after deformation. The material combines the flexibility of rubber with the strength of engineering plastic. Its Shore hardness of 90A provides rigidity comparable to dense rubber, such as shoe soles. As a result, the filament feeds more reliably into the extruder than softer FLEX grades and is suitable for printing on most FDM printers when using a low print speed.
Advantages of FLEX Filament
- High elasticity: easily bends, stretches, and compresses while returning to its original shape.
- Strength: withstands stretching, compression, and twisting without tearing.
- Impact resistance: withstands drops, impacts, and vibrations effectively.
- Wear resistance: suitable for manufacturing parts exposed to friction and mechanical stress.
- Chemical resistance: withstands contact with oils, fuels, and certain solvents.
- Electrical insulation: does not conduct electricity.
- Workability: finished products can be cut, glued, and painted.
- Durability: retains its properties even after prolonged use.
- Recyclability: suitable for recycling.
Thanks to its combination of flexibility, strength, and wear resistance, FLEX is used in both industrial manufacturing and everyday applications. The material makes it possible to create elastic parts, functional components, and various accessories that must withstand mechanical loads while retaining their shape.
Applications
- Architecture: models of buildings, structures, and infrastructure elements.
- Small-batch production: figurines, souvenirs, and presentation items.
- Prototyping: parts for testing mechanisms and structures.
- Medicine and dentistry: prostheses, crowns, and educational models.
- Education: teaching aids for schools, kindergartens, and universities.
- Clothing and footwear: flexible soles, footwear components, and accessories.
- Household and technical applications: seals, shock absorbers, and connecting elements.
- Fishing: lures and other flexible accessories.
- Accessories: cases, watch bands, toys, and decorative items.

Printing Tips
Printing with FLEX filament requires a low feed speed; a maximum of 30 mm/s is recommended. A direct-drive extruder provides the best results, although printing with a Bowden system is also possible. It is important to properly adjust the temperature and speed, as the flexible filament may deform inside the nozzle. Using a separate nozzle is recommended to prevent residue from other materials from interfering with printing. FLEX also absorbs moisture readily, so it must be stored properly. During printing, ensure that the filament feeds freely without excessive tension or resistance.
