Automatic Material System Bambu Lab AMS
The Bambu Lab Automatic Material System (AMS) is engineered for multi-color 3D Printing. AMS enables the printer to automatically switch between different colors or material types, enhancing the printing process by making it more versatile and user-friendly. It is compatible with Bambu Lab 3D printers and can handle up to four different materials simultaneously.

Bring Multi-Color 3D Printing to Life
Color, as a powerful expression of emotion, is brought to life with Bambu Lab's Automatic Material System (AMS). Now, you have the freedom to print in multiple colors and materials seamlessly.

Effortless Support Removal
With AMS, Bambu Lab printers can utilize snap-away support material or dissolvable filament, making support removal much simpler.
Eliminate Filament Waste
Without AMS, running out of filament requires manually replacing the spool, interrupting the print and causing material waste.
With AMS, switching to a new spool is automatic, ensuring continuous printing and minimizing waste.

Filament Backup Assurance
Automatic spool changing ensures uninterrupted printing. Thanks to the AMS filament backup function, you can be confident that your printer won't run out of filament while you're asleep or away, ensuring smooth, continuous printing, reduced filament waste, and improved energy efficiency.
Advanced Intelligent System
Powered by a 32-bit MCU, sensor arrays, actuators, and a sophisticated algorithm, the AMS delivers outstanding intelligence. It efficiently handles filament loading and unloading, along with effective fault detection and recovery.

Filament Tangle Prevention
If the filament encounters resistance, such as tangling or a stuck spool, the AMS instantly detects the issue and pauses the print to prevent air printing.

Say Goodbye to Moist Filaments
Moisture-absorbed filament can degrade print quality, weaken layer adhesion, and even clog the nozzle, potentially ruining a print.
Maintain Dry Filament
The AMS features an airtight seal and uses desiccant material to absorb moisture, keeping it away from the filament.
An integrated humidity sensor monitors the humidity levels inside the AMS and alerts you if humidity is too high or if the desiccant needs replacement.
Using dry filament is essential for achieving the best print quality.
Automatic Filament Identification
Bambu Lab filaments are equipped with RFID tags that the AMS reads to automatically identify the material and apply the optimal settings.
The RFID tag is automatically synchronized with Bambu Studio.
For non-Bambu Lab filaments, settings need to be manually configured either in Bambu Studio or directly on the printer.

Support for Up to 16 Colors
Each Bambu Lab AMS unit comes with 4 filament slots, and you can connect up to 4 AMS units in parallel, allowing for up to 16 colors for vibrant and unique prints. To enable 16-color printing, connect 4 AMS units via an AMS hub.
